Functional description and purpose of the technical equipment
The PÖTTINGER NOVADISC 302 is a rear-mounted, Category II three-point linkage disc mower without conditioner, designed for mowing grass and green forage on grasslands and forage crops. Drive from the tractor's PTO (standard 540 rpm) is transferred
via a gearbox and belts to the welded, low cutter bar with 7 discs (2 knives per disc). The flat cutter bar and spring suspension ensure good ground following and
a clean cut with low power requirements; a mechanical overrun safety device
allows the cutter bar to tilt back in the event of a collision with an obstacle,
reducing the risk of damage. The machine folds into a vertical transport position and
is compatible with tractors from approximately 60 HP. Typical use: mowing meadows/pastures and haylage, solo or in combination with a 3.0–3.5 m front mower to increase the working width.
